Leila Ages. Leila Ages is a Community Volunteer. Since moving to Ottawa in 1999, Leila began her work in the Jewish Community of Ottawa starting as co-chair of the Young Women Leadership Program. Since its launch in 2007, Leila has been the chair of the Soloway JCC’s Shalom Baby Program, offering new parents an opportunity to introduce their babies to the Jewish Community and providing a useful resource to guide them along the parenthood journey. Leila was also a Table Captain for two years at the Choices Dinner, a women’s-only program of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa. Leila has an MBA and previously worked in commercial banking and in management of a small business.
Gianni Donatucci. Gianni Donatucci is President of Infiniti Legal Support Services Inc., a full service legal support organization which provides a full range of Process Serving, Issuing, and Filing services to its client base of government agencies, crown corporations, solicitors, banks, trust companies, and private sector businesses. Gianni is a Certified Management Accountant and worked with Deloitte Consulting from 1994 to 2006 before joining Maplesoft. Gianni also serves as Treasurer of the Down Syndrome Association (National Capital Region).
Alan Echenberg. Alan Echenberg is a journalist, television producer and instructor at Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Communication. He is the show producer for “The Week with Mark Sutcliffe”, CPAC’s Sunday morning national political call-in program. Alan has been a member of the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery since 1994 and formerly served as the Parliamentary Bureau Chief for TVOntario for more than a decade. He joined the Board of Directors of OJCS (then the board of Hillel Academy) in 2007, and has served as chair or co-chair of the Sales, Marketing and Communications committee for the past three years.
Steven Kimmel. Steven Kimmel was born in Ottawa and graduated from Hillel Academy many years ago. Steven is commencing his 2nd term on the OCJS Board of Directors. Steven has been active in Jewish Community agencies since 1995. He is currently vice-chair of the Jewish Federation. Steven is President of Westboro Flooring & Décor.
Lewis Leikin. Dr. Lewis Leikin is a psychologist who specializes in clinical psychology. In addition to a community based practice, he is a Clinical Professor at the University of Ottawa, and Consulting Psychologist at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. He has coordinated special education and mental health programs, and his research has been published in scholarly journals. Lewis has also been active in the Ottawa Jewish community serving as an executive member of the Federation Board of Directors and as past Chair of the JFO Planning and Priorities committee. Lewis has a long history with the OJCS, as the proud parent of two former students and the husband of Mora Penny, a much loved Hillel teacher of 20 years. Lewis hopes to welcome his grandchild to OJCS in the near future.
Lisa Miller. Lisa Miller is in her third term as President of the Board of Directors for the Ottawa Jewish Community School, and has been involved on the board for the last five years. Lisa practices as an Industrial Psychologist who specializes in the areas of training design and delivery, organizational and leadership development, facilitation, and counseling psychology. She is the president of DMHS Group Inc, a successful management consulting firm and clinical practice.
Lorne Rachlis. Lorne Rachlis is currently the president of Temple Israel of Ottawa, a Tamir board member, and a consultant and researcher in education administration. During his 40 year career in education, Lorne served as a teacher, principal, superintendent, director of education (CEO) and as an invited and then visiting professor of education at the University of Ottawa. For 5 years he was the director of education (CEO) of the Avon Maitland District School Board in southwestern Ontario and then for 5 years CEO of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. He has a doctorate in education from the University of Toronto.
Sharon Reichstein. Sharon Reichstein is a special education teacher at MindWare Academy, a private school for children with various learning disabilities. Sharon is a past President of Na’amat Ottawa’s Otzma Chapter and one of its most successful fundraisers, Chairing the Mother’s Day Tea and the Winter Extravaganza for a number of years. Sharon has also been a member of the Ladies Reception Committee of Ottawa. Sharon currently serves as Chair of the Fund Development Committee on the Board of Tamir.
Nicole Rosenberg. Nicole Rosenberg has been the Secretary of the Board for the past two years. Nicole Rosenberg is a lawyer who works full time for TMX Group Inc., the owner and operator of marketplaces including Canada’s two national stock exchanges. Before joining the Board, Nicole worked on the Transition Committee to help plan for the amalgamation of Hillel Academy and Yitzhak Rabin High School.
Richard Sachs. Richard Sachs is President and co-founder of Urbandale Construction – a home builder in the Ottawa area. He was a co – chair of the JCC building committee and has sat on many boards, most notably the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation. He currently serves on the CHEO Foundation board.
Stacey Segal. Stacey Segal is a Crisis Intervention worker with Mental Health Services at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. With her Masters in Social Work degree, Stacey has offered counseling to children and families since beginning her career as a social worker. Since 2008, Stacey has been the Chair of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa’s Mitzvah Day Committee and also previously served as Fundraising Chair for Na’amat Ottawa’s Tikvah Chapter.
Fred Seller. Fred has served on the Board of the School for the last three years. Fred is one of the founding partners of BrazeauSeller.LLP, an Ottawa based law firm and acts as legal counsel to a number of local and international businesses. Fred is also a registered trade-mark agent. Fred is currently the co-chair of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation's Courage Campaign which is in the second phase of a $50 million campaign. In 2005 and 2006, Fred was co-chair of the Ottawa Jewish Federation Golf Tournaments. He is also a past chair of the United Jewish Appeal, Legal Division and served on the Board of Yitzhak Rabin High School before it amalgamated with Hillel Academy.
Ron Vered. Ron Vered is currently CEO of Arnon Corporation and is past President of Ron Engineering and Construction (Eastern) Ltd. These real estate and construction companies are based in Ottawa with international experience. Ron is also actively involved in the creation of early stage companies with innovative technologies in a diverse range of Industries. Ron has served on several volunteer boards including Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Community Foundations. Ron and his wife, Jennifer, are proud and tired parents of 4 children ages 3 to 8 years old.At Your Fingertips
