Parent / Teacher Association (PTA)

Welcome back to those parents and student who are returning and welcome aboard to those who have just joined us this year.

Plans are underway for fun and exciting events this school year, from apples and honey on Rosh Hashanah to an enhanced hot lunch program.

The PTA fundraising initiative allows us to enjoy many additions to our school programs during the year. Recently, we have been able to provide:

·         busing for field trips and activities

·         various items for holiday celebrations

·         the purchase of three smart boards

The PTA would like to ensure continuation and successful implementation of various programs with a thriving volunteer force this year. I would encourage all families to make it a priority to help out in some way by volunteering to assist with programs in the school. We rely mainly on volunteer support to assist us with all our scheduled events and it’s imperative that we have parental support.

The 2011-2012 PTA volunteer form is attached and will give you some idea of where we need assistance. Should you have any questions or comments, you may contact me at pta@theojcs.ca.
